If you’re picking up a bib for someone else, please have an email or text from them giving you permission.
If you registered before April 7, you’ll receive your free event t-shirt when you collect your bib.
Any shirts not picked up by 8:30 am on race day will be considered donated back to the event and made available for purchase at the finish line expo by donation. If you cannot attend but would like to collect your shirt, please email huronshorerun@gmail.com by June 4 to arrange pickup.
Gear Check
Gear check will be available at the Coliseum during bib pick-up hours on Friday evening and at the finish line area on Grosvenor Street on Saturday morning. Please place all your gear in a small bag or backpack; do not bring any loose items. Volunteers will mark your bag with your bib number when you drop it off, so you will need your bib number to collect it afterward.
Gear dropped off at Registration on Friday evening will be securely transported to the finish line for pickup on Saturday.
Parking & Getting to the Start Line
Free parking is available at multiple lots near the arena and downtown Southampton. Please check signage and avoid blocking access for emergency vehicles. Allow extra time for a quick walk to the start line.
The start line is in front of The Walker House on High Street. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions, direct you, and help you get to your event on time.
Bike Valet
Free bike valet service will be available at the Southampton Coliseum on Friday from 5 - 7:30 pm, and on Saturday on Grosvenor Street from 8 am - 12 pm. The easiest access to the bike valet on race morning will be from the north end of Grosvenor Street. Save time on parking, get a good warm-up, and support the environment!
Aid Stations
There are three aid stations located along the course, offering water and Skratch Lemon-Lime hydration, and Hammer Nutrition energy gels.
Locations:
Aid Station 1 — 2.2 km / 19.9 km (hydration only)
Aid Station 2 — 4.6 km / 17.5 km (hydration and gels)
Aid Station 3 — 5.7 km / 15.2 km (hydration and gels)
Water, bananas, and granola bars will be available at the finish line for refueling. The Quench Buggy mobile water station will be located at the Start/Finish line—please bring your water bottle to fill up before or after your run.
Course Support
Portable restrooms are available near the Start/Finish Line in the Legion parking lot behind The Walker House, and along Mirimachi Bay Rd near Collard Way. The restroom buildings at the south end of North Shore Park will be open.
A First Aid and Rest Station is located on Mirimachi Bay Road at Pegasus Trail. It will be staffed by the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and will have a paramedic on site. Runners can take a break to rest, receive medical assistance, and get some extra encouragement to keep going.
The Saugeen Shores Fire Department will be present along the course, along with First Aid/CPR-trained volunteers on e-bikes to support runners in need of assistance. A paramedic will be present at the First Aid/Rest Station, and a medical doctor will be available at the finish line.
Course Etiquette
We’re excited to welcome over 1000 participants and volunteers to this year’s event! Help us create a supportive and enjoyable experience by following these tips:
Line up by pace: Faster runners should line up at the front, slower runners and walkers should position themselves toward the back.
Pass on the left: When passing another runner, please indicate verbally. Encourage your fellow runners as you go!
Keep aid stations moving: Quickly grab water, thank the volunteers, and continue moving to maintain flow.
- Walkers, stay right: Please keep to the right side of the road to allow faster runners to pass safely.
Be mindful of bike marshals: Lead runners will be escorted by bike marshals. Please be aware of their presence and follow any instructions to help keep the road clear.
- Running with strollers: If you are running with a stroller, please start near the back to allow for safe passing by other runners.
- Support one another: A high-five or kind words of encouragement can make a big difference!
