If you’re picking up a bib for someone else, please have an email or text from them giving you permission.

If you registered before April 7, you’ll receive your free event t-shirt when you collect your bib (unless you've selected the Green Bib option with no shirt).

Any shirts not picked up by 8:30 am on race day will be considered donated back to the event and made available for purchase at the finish line expo by donation. If you cannot attend but would like to receive your shirt, please email huronshorerun@gmail.com by June 4 to arrange pickup (we will not be mailing shirts).

Gear Check

Gear check is available Saturday morning from 8 to 11:30 am at the north end of the finish line area on Grosvenor Street. Please place all your gear in a clearly labeled small bag or backpack; do not bring any loose items. Volunteers will mark your bag with your bib number when you drop it off, so you will need your bib number to collect it afterward.

Parking & Getting to the Start Line

Free parking is available at multiple lots near the Coliseum and downtown Southampton. Please check signage and avoid blocking access for emergency vehicles. Allow extra time for a quick walk to the start line.

The start line is in front of The Walker House on High Street. Volunteers will be there to answer questions, direct you, and help you get to your event on time. Look for volunteers holding "Ask Me" signs.

Bike Valet

Free bike valet service will be available at the Southampton Coliseum on Friday from 5 to 7:30 pm, and on Saturday on Grosvenor Street from 8 am to 12 pm.

Friday evening bike valet is located at the northeast corner of the Coliseum by the Boathouse. Drop your bike off with the valet team while you pick up your bib. All bikes must be collected by 7:30 pm.

Bike valet on race morning is located in the post-race area on Grosvenor Street. The easiest access will be from the north end of Grosvenor Street off any street north of High Street. Volunteers will mark your bike with your bib number when you drop it off, so you will need your bib number to collect it afterward. Save time on parking, get a good warm-up, and support the environment!

Course Support

Portable restrooms are available near the Start/Finish Line in the Legion parking lot behind The Walker House, and along Mirimachi Bay Rd near Pegasus Trail. The restroom buildings at the south end of North Shore Park will be open.

A First Aid and Rest Station is located on Mirimachi Bay Road at the corner of Concession 10 and Cutter Street. It will be staffed by the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and will have a paramedic on site. Runners can take a break to rest, receive medical assistance, and get some extra encouragement to keep going.

The Saugeen Shores Fire Department will be present along the course, along with First Aid/CPR-trained volunteers on e-bikes to support runners in need of assistance. A paramedic will be present at the First Aid/Rest Station, and a medical doctor will be available at the finish line.

Course Etiquette

We’re excited to welcome over 1000 participants and volunteers to this year’s event! Help us create a supportive and enjoyable experience by following these tips:

  1. Line up by pace: Faster runners should line up at the front, slower runners and walkers should position themselves toward the back.

  2. Pass on the left: When passing another runner, please indicate verbally: "On your left". Encourage your fellow runners as you go!

  3. Keep aid stations moving: Quickly grab water, thank the volunteers, and continue moving to maintain flow.

  4. Walkers, stay LEFT when returning: Once you hit the 5K turnaraound, please keep to the left side of the road (in the west lane); Runners will be on the right side of the road (in the east lane). Please do not walk more than 2 or 3 abreast. This is critical safety note to help keep the course moving freely!
  5. Runners, be aware of your pace: If you're running slower than most, please stay to the right side of the road and allow faster runners to pass on the left.

  6. Be mindful of bike marshals: Lead runners will be escorted by bike marshals. Please be aware of their presence and follow any instructions to help keep the road clear.

  7. Running with strollers: If you are running with a stroller, please stay clear of other runners.
  8. Support one another: A high-five or kind words of encouragement can make a big difference!
